Dr. Sanjay further commented that India- Korea relations have progressed by leaps and bounds in last three decades. In this contemporary development, people to people contact has provided a horizon to introspect the cultural connections Korea had in the past with various regions of India.
Recently, it has been observed that many Korean words are almost equivalent to Tamil. In my view, there is a glaring need to enhance unearth the linguistic connection between Korean and Tamil. The cultural-philosophical connections and possible areas of cooperation between Korea and Tamilnadu can act as a bridge to explore upgraded India-Korea bilateral relations.
A Study on Syntactic Similarities between Korean and Tamil is an area which can establish a new foundation in the linguistic world.
Although numerous exchanges are taking place at different levels between India-Korea, understanding of diversity of India is imperative. Particularly, as the story of Tamilnadu constitute a significant space in the social history of India. Therefore, history and culture of Tamil Nadu is always vital and necessary to provide an authentic India view to Koreans or outside world.
For a more balanced and extensive understanding of India and its People, Korea Tamil Sangam and its all members have to actively participate in educational and cultural activities in Korea, India and globally.
Dr. Sanjay is born in Bihar and a graduate of Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He is interested in exploring Tamil Language and literature. Also he found to have deep respect Tamil language, heritage and culture and social values of Tamil people and Tamilnadu.
